It depends on the condition of the battens and underlay rather than the tiles you can see. If the tiles are sound but a few have slipped, a repair is genuine value. If the underlay has perished and the battens are failing, patching it is money spent twice. We will tell you which one you have.
A typical terraced or semi-detached roof runs about one to two weeks including scaffold, strip, felt, batten and re-cover. Weather moves it, and we plan the strip so the roof is never left open overnight.
