Common Questions
Usually four to six weeks for a full re-plaster and less for small patches, though a cold or unventilated room takes longer. The plaster needs to dry right through, and the first coat should be a watered-down mist coat so it keys properly instead of peeling.
We can, within limits. Most masonry and exterior paints need surface temperatures above about five degrees and a dry surface, so the working window is narrower and we plan around the forecast rather than pushing on regardless.
Fill and sand. Preparation is the part of the job that determines the result — painting over unfilled cracks and unsanded woodwork looks acceptable for a few weeks and then does not.
